It is officially Fall over here, and though I was hesitant at first, I am totally embracing it now. I have to admit, I am a lover of summer and all things hot. So whenever Fall comes I get reluctant to let go of the heat because I know that just means Winter is coming. And boy, do I hate Winter. But honestly, Fall is one of my favorite seasons because when I do fully embrace it, I love to be cuddled up in sweaters and blankets. I like the chill without it being deathly cold. So Fall is definitely my number two favorite season.
Last weekend we went to the pumpkin patch and got our pumpkins for Halloween. I wasn't sure if we were going to go with COVID, but at the last minute I decided we should just do it. Everyone was pretty much wearing their mask outside, which made me feel better. We went for ice cream after and it turned out to be a great day. The day got even better when we got home and I saw I had a package from Tryazon with some party goodies!

I was chosen to host a Spin Master Game Night with my Game Squad! We play family games every Friday night, so I was SO excited to add these new ones to the mix. We received Hedbanz, Upwords, and Grouch Couch. All were games we haven't played before, and my kids couldn't wait to try them. We have lots of Spin Master toys and it's a brand we really love and trust so I couldn't wait to share them with my friends and neighbors! Needless to say, I got right into setting up my Game Night Party!
I decided to host my event on a Saturday in the afternoon after lunch. Some of my friends and neighbors are still hesitant to meet inside and in groups, so I also hosted a virtual event as well. I hosted my virtual event the afternoon before my in person event over Google Meet. I had 8 people who tuned in. I first shared the Tryazon and Spin Master websites with my virtual guests and explained each company. I then showed them the three games we received and gave them a tutorial on how to play. A lot of my virtual guests had heard of Hedbanz but had not heard of the other two. One family thought Grouch Couch looked so fun and they actually bought it online that night! The next day I hosted my in person event in the afternoon and served light snacks to everyone. I set up three stations for guests to move around and try out the games. There were 10 guests who came to my in person event. Most of these guests had also played Hedbanz before but were excited to see the new games.

I once again explained who Tryazon and Spin Master were and had their websites up for people to look at. I then let my guests move around to the three stations I had set up to play the games. My party lasted until evening, as everyone was having so much fun socializing and playing games!

It was a great chance to get everyone together safely and have fun. Most guests were super excited about the Grouch Couch game because they hadn't heard of it before and had small kids who would enjoy it. Some older guests were interested in Upwords, as they enjoy playing Scrabble and find it to be a similar but interesting take on that game.

Overall, it was a great time and I know most of my guests will be purchasing one of these games for Christmas gift giving. I highly recommend these Spin Master games because they are fun, interesting, and get people together to enjoy being in the moment.
