The weather has definitely been steaming up this past week. I love the heat but I can't stand the humidity. It's been gorgeous, but even in the morning it's been muggy; so much so that the air feels like a thick wet blanket on your skin. But as long as it's sunny, I can't complain too much. Of course, with the amazing weather and the great temperatures come bugs. Lots of bugs! We've been battling ants in the kitchen for the past month or so and it's always an uphill battle. I ended up putting any open food item in Ziplock bags. So our cereal cabinet is now just a variety of Ziplock bags with random bags of cereal that you have to muddle through to discern which is which. It's highly annoying, but the only way to keep out the ants.

It probably would be a lot easier if I didn't mind using chemical bug sprays, but I absolutely hate chemicals. I try my best not to use them at all. It drives my husband nuts, but what can you do? If it was up to him, he'd be at the local hardware store stocking up on chemical bug spray and doing the entire perimeter of the house. But I said no.

Of course, Tryazon always seems to come through for me with the right products I need at the right time. They selected me to host an EarthKind Natural Pest Control Party, and I couldn't have been more stoked! They sent me this amazing package full of natural pest control products.

I received their Stay Away pouches for ants, rodents, moths, and spiders, plus one of their pouch pods to keep the pouches fresher for three times as long. In the package I received was also one of their full size mosquito sprays and a travel size version as well. I couldn't wait to test out these and share with my friends and family! I was really excited about the pouch pod because it comes with a removable hook so that you can put the pouches on a counter or hanging in a closet. How cool!

I knew that I wouldn't have a large turn out as I usually do for parties, since most families aren't comfortable with close distances, due to social distancing. So I decided to host an at home party with an option to join in virtually as well. I sent out invites and planned for a Saturday, when most people would be home in the afternoon. There were 9 people who came to my in person party and another 5 that joined in virtually, for a total of 14 guests. I started the party showing the group a video from EarthKind and explaining the products to them. I then showed them Tryazon's website and explained their company too. After that, I showed each product from EarthKind and talked about the different places you could use it, as well as the ingredients. I have like-minded friends who were super interested in natural pest control products. No one had heard of the company before, and so they were super excited to try them out! At my party, I made fun snacks like ants on a log and cupcakes with spiders piped onto them. I also had some bug coloring pages for the kids to work on while the adults talked. At the end of the party, each single guest or couple took home one of the Stay Away Spider pouches. Luckily, I had 3 left over for the other guests who joined virtually, since 4 of them were couples. Everyone raved about the products and said they really enjoyed the party!

I went home after the party and put my Stay Away Ants pouch in my pouch pod and set it on my kitchen counter along the trail the ants would come in at. So far, I've only seen one ant in passing throughout the day, so hopefully it keeps up. I really love the way the pouch makes my kitchen smell fresh and earthy.

So if you're looking for a great natural pest solution to keep bugs and rodents out of your home naturally, look no further than EarthKind's amazing product line! It'll keep the pests out and the fresh smells in! You can find them online at https://www.earthkind.com or at your local Lowe's Home Improvement store.
