Chocolat Frey Tasting Party

It's definitely been a crazy three months. The kids are starting to go stir crazy and there are only so many crafts you can do before you all get tired of each other. Sophie has been doing online learning and let's just say virtual school isn't all it's cracked up to be. Most mornings it's a struggle to get her to do the right assignments because she wants to be independent and do everything on her own. We end up butting heads a lot. I'm so thankful that next week is the last week until school is over for the summer! But I know as hard as it is for me as an adult, this quarantine business is even harder for the kids. I try not to get too mad at Sophie, but I know that she also has to learn how to deal with her feelings. Oh the life of a parent!

And so, I was extremely happy to get a little distraction from the mess of life when I was sent this really awesome tasting kit from Tryazon with Chocolat Frey items! Chocolat Frey is a Swiss chocolate company that makes premium chocolates. In my tasting pack I received four boxes of dark and milk Chocobloc Minis, three Dark Crunchy Nut Bars, three Milk Crunchy Nut Bars, and three Blond Crunchy Almond Bars.

With everyone social distancing at the moment, I decided to throw a different kind of tasting party since we couldn't get a huge group together. I combined an in person party for those who were comfortable getting together and a virtual party for those who wanted to stay home. There were three families that were ok meeting in person for a total of 10 guests. I then had 5 other families who joined in virtually for a total guest count of 29. This was my largest Tryazon party yet, as many people loved the option of being able to come virtually. We all got together on a Thursday evening. I met with my in person guests first so that they could see all the Chocolat Frey products together. They then helped me make cute little gift bags for the 5 virtual families, which I dropped off on their doorsteps. At 5 pm, everyone joined in virtually so we could taste the chocolate together and hear what everyone had to say. I started the virtual party by introducing everyone to each other and then talking about Chocolat Frey and Tryazon. I did a screen share with the Chocolat Frey website so that everyone knew about their products. We tasted chocolate together, laughed, talked, and had a great time. No one had heard of Chocolate Frey before, but they all LOVED the chocolate! The comments I most heard were about how smooth the chocolate was and how you could taste the sweet honey in the Milk Chocobloc Minis. Guests were super excited to have a coupon to use to buy more!

It was such a fun day, as we got to forget about the negative things going on in the world for a bit to laugh together and really enjoy some chocolate! I have to admit, my family personally has been loving the Milk Chocobloc Minis and I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to hide the last couple from everyone. The velvety smooth texture and sweet crisp of honey that you get when you bite into these is amazing. My personal favorite Chocolat Frey item has been the Blond Crunchy Almond Bar. I definitely hid the one bar I had left from my family! All these products are not overly sweet, and so I actually get a great taste of chocolate as opposed to having a super sweet sugar rush.

If you're looking to try out a new chocolate that is satisfying and smooth, you have to try Chocolat Frey! We have them at our local Wegman's and I'm stocking up on my next trip!
