Back to School and Healthy with Sambucol

I have a love/hate relationship with the back to school season. I know tons of parents are ready for their kids to go back to school (and were probably ready for them to go back on day three of summer vacation) but I'm the complete opposite. I really enjoy having my little girl back home with me. During the school year, she's gone all day and busy with so many activities that I really miss watching her grow every day. Life goes so fast when they're gone all day! But there is something I really love about back to school season. And that's the absolute joy of buying school supplies. Yup. I LOVE IT. Buying all the boxes of crayons, the ten tubes of glue sticks, the specific colors of plastic folders they need...it's like a shopaholics dream. I probably am more excited than my daughter to go school supply shopping. Maybe one day she'll match my level of enthusiasm.

The other big thing I hate about going back to school? Germs. So. Many. Germs. Sophie's first year of Kindergarten she had the pleasure of contracting pink eye, croup, numerous colds, and a ruptured ear drum (by far the worst out of the list). So needless to say, I was ready for a solution to the constant sicknesses. Because eating more veggies, staying hydrated, and washing our hands every time we came in the door wasn't cutting it.

Imagine my excitement when I found out through the party company Tryazon that I was going to get to try out black elderberry products from a really awesome company called Sambucol. I had heard of the really fantastic immunity powers of black elderberry but was always hesitant to buy it. I wasn't sure if my kids would actually like them or if they really worked. But I was willing to try anything!

I was super excited to see all the amazing products that Sambucol had included in my party pack. I had only ever seen the black elderberry immunity gummies, so I had no idea they had a whole line of black elderberry products. There was black elderberry syrup for kids and adults, cold and flu relief tablets, throat lozenges, coupons for friends, and even tons of sample packs. I couldn't wait to try these out with my friends!

During my party, I whipped up some purple cupcakes to match the black elderberry theme and handed out information about Sambucol and their black elderberry products. Guests were able to watch videos explaining Sambucol and what black elderberry does for your immune system. Everyone checked out the products and got to take samples and coupons home. Two guests even had summer colds they picked up on vacation and got to test out the cold relief tablets. They raved about the yummy taste! I had a computer up where guests could browse information about Sambucol and I let everyone know that our local Target and Walmart carried their products.

I am super excited to have my kids use these black elderberry products from Sambucol, and since school starts next week, I've been giving them gummies every day. We're hoping for stronger immune systems so that our list of germ related sicknesses are at least half of last year! Bring on the school year!
