Sensodyne Rapid Relief Toothpaste Review

Through my partnership with BzzAgent, I received a free sample of Sensodyne Rapid Relief toothpaste from Sensodyne US. First off, let me say that i was SUPER excited to receive this sample because as I've reached my 30's, my teeth have become crazy sensitive to hot and cold foods (and even sugary foods sometimes). One of the amazing things about reaching your 30's, right? So I was definitely more than happy to see if this toothpaste actually did the job in taking away my tooth sensitivity.

The claim by Sensodyne is that if you brush with the Rapid Relief toothpaste twice a day for three days, your sensitivity issues would be gone or minimized. I was definitely curious about this because my morning cups of coffee were getting to be uncomfortable on some days. And the problem is I never knew when the sensitivity would strike! So enjoying a good 'ol cuppa joe in the morning was basically a Russian Roulette for me. And I SO wanted to go back to enjoying the mornings without cringing. Of course, enjoying the mornings as much as I could with two little kids whining for breakfast. But more on that another time...

Day One of Brushing!

So day one had me hopeful. I gave my teeth a good 'ol brushing in the morning and at night. I didn't notice any help with sensitivity the first day, but was hopeful for day two. And I mean, the toothpaste was a nice flavor even if it didn't end up working, so I had that going for me.

So the next day I gave it another go. After brushing in the morning, I had to run to Wegman's with the girls to grab some much needed supplies. Basically, we are always running out of bananas. I should just start calling my grocery runs "banana runs". Anyways, I didn't get a chance to grab my usual cup of coffee. But have no fear...it was my BIRTHDAY and I had a FREE cup of coffee from Starbucks! Hallelujah! So after putting on the Sesame Street ABC song in the car so the girls wouldn't scream as I ordered, (Sophie likes to yell, "chicken nuggets and fries please!" whenever I go to a drive through...) I rejoiced in my free Cafe Misto.

And although you'd think the great part of this story is that I got a free cup of coffee, the even better part was that my teeth didn't freak out on me! Could it be a fluke? There was only one way to find out...

Day Three of Brushing!

And so on the third day of using Sensodyne Rapid Relief, I decided to take the dreaded cold water challenge. Because as much as hot drinks could upset my teeth sometimes, cold water beat out hot coffee in the pain department every.single.day. So after brushing in the morning, I poured myself an ice cold glass of water. And honestly, I probably didn't even need the ice because we have well water, and anyone with well water can tell you that it comes out way colder than city water does. Anyways, I took a big sip and even *gasp* swished it around my mouth to hit all.the.teeth.

Guess what? NOTHING! I couldn't believe it! There were no familiar flicks of sharp pain or cringing as I swished. Whaaaaat?! To say I was impressed is probably a huge understatement. Not that I didn't expect it to work but let's be honest. How many times do we buy products expecting the world to change, and nothing happens? I've been disappointed by one too many product claims that fail to deliver, so this was a pleasant and welcome surprise to me! I've been using the Sensodyne Rapid Relief toothpaste for 2 weeks now and have not had ONE sensitivity issue. Yeah guys, it's THAT good!

What I like about Sensodyne Rapid Relief toothpaste:

• Has a really nice foam to it that coats your whole mouth and makes my breath feel really fresh

• Love the taste/flavor

• Works in just two days (at least for me)

• Consistently keeps sensitivity away

What I dislike about Sensodyne Rapid Relief toothpaste:

• It's pricier than my usual toothpaste...but it works! So have to weigh the cost with the results
