Growing up, "organic" and "natural" weren't really part of my vocabulary. It wasn't until I was a senior in high school taking AP Environmental Science that I became aware of these terms. I started dabbling in becoming more "environmentally friendly" and even tried to become semi-vegetarian. I say "semi" because I just couldn't give up chicken, but would instead only eat it once a week. I started shopping at The Common Market (a local health food store) and buying organic food. I'm pretty sure my parents thought I was nuts. But I was determined to stay the course, using my own money from the job I had to buy as much organic and wholesome food as possible.
This continued about 2 years until college came. Because let's be honest. It's college! Instead of eating healthy and organic, I was basically eating crap in the form of take out Chinese, buffalo chicken pizza (Bloomsburg University had the BEST, btw), and all you can eat breakfast at the student union. When I tried to be "healthy" after gaining that freshman 15 everyone talks about, I would get chicken caesar salad wraps. But let's be honest. SO.NOT.HEALTHY. It didn't help that my husband (then boyfriend at the time) was so not into the healthy lifestyle thing. Chicken wings and ice cream are his jam.

Ice cream parties were the norm...
Once I was out of college and we got married, I decided it was time to clean up our act. And I can definitely say since the age of 23, a healthier lifestyle was adopted, on and off. Obviously, to the chagrin of my hubby...
Then I started becoming even more informed about not just healthy food, but healthy everything! Especially when I became pregnant. The overwhelming feeling of being responsible for another human being's life is quite heavy. I didn't want to "mess up" my kids' lives because I was uneducated about chemicals or products that could unintentionally cause them harm. So I became educated. I learned how there was a thing as natural cleaners that wouldn't cause reproductive harm or inhalation risks, yet still could disinfect as strongly as a chemical cleaner would. As I roamed the aisles of Target, (which is practically every day, let's be honest...) I started studying the cleaner aisle. I began experimenting with different brands of natural cleaners. I tried tons of brands. Finally I found my favorite.

Enter Seventh Generation. Their natural cleaning products are fantastic. I was blown away by the quality and the value of their products. Other natural cleaners were pricier, yet still had 1 or 2 questionable ingredients and left a residue when drying. Seventh Generation cleaners were less expensive and dried clear, which is what I was looking for! I started by buying their toilet cleaning gel and bathroom disinfecting cleaner. I was hooked after my bathroom was sparkling with less elbow grease than chemical cleaners. Since I was pregnant, I felt so much better about inhaling these chemical-free fumes. I probably should have mentioned that I'm also a germaphobe and am constantly cleaning, so making sure I wasn't exposing myself or my baby to harmful chemicals was important because I was cleaning all the time.

I ended up finding out about their #GenerationGood community. If you click here, you can join this free community where you gain points by answering questions or completing challenges. These challenges are often receiving free products from Seventh Generation that you can try and then pass on. I already loved the brand, so thought, why not?! As part of their community, I received free samples of their free and clear baby wipes to test out and then pass on to friends.

I absolutely love that they don't contain any harmful parabens, which I had been reading up about. My daughter tends to have sensitive skin, and I always worry she'll develop a rash from wipes. The Seventh Generation wipes worked amazingly, were super cloth like, and had a nice sudsy feeling to them which made cleaning up messes easier. I also love that since they are so gentle I could use them on her face. Because let's get real...as a mom you use wipes on everything!

Nora is a fan (or at least her skin is)!
What I like about Seventh Generation Free and Clear wipes:
Free of fragrance, parabens, alcohol, and phenoxyethanol
Has a nice sudsy feel to it, which makes cleaning messes easy
Thick and cloth like
Gentle enough for faces (and the kitchen table, floor, dusting...)
Super cute packaging (because you know I'm a lover of cute design)
What I dislike about Seventh Generation Free and Clear wipes:
It's pricier than the sensitive Target Up and Up brand I usually buy, so I will wait until the Target cartwheel app has a coupon on them and then stock up ;)
So overall I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product. Make sure to stop by your local Target to grab your own bag or case, or go here to buy online.
Have you tried Seventh Generation? What other natural cleaning products do you like?? Let me know in the comments below.
